Larae Bowman, 30 and her brother, Lavon Bowman, 32, were found shot and killed in their Detroit home
Detroit Police are investigating a horrific murder scene inside a home on the 20-thousand block of Yacama , on Detroit’s east side. It happened near I -75 and 8 Mile.
Inside the house the bodies of a brother and sister were discovered. They were found around 8 p.m. on Monday. The man, 32 years old, was shot. His sister, 30 years old, had multiple stab wounds and may also have been shot.
Neighbors say the siblings were well known on the block. Sources said the brother lived downstairs, where his body was found. The sister's body was found upstairs, where she lived. According to sources, the woman may have known her attacker because there was no forced entry.
The suspect drove the woman’s car down the street before ditching it. Loved ones stopped by the victims’ mother’s house who lives nearby to show support. They told 7 Action News they are not ready to talk right now. Neighbors we spoke to say the two will be missed.

DETROIT, MI - The Detroit Police Department confirmed to WDIV-TV that a brother and sister were found murdered Monday night in a home on Yacama Road, south of 8 Mile, on the city's east side. Radio station WWJ 950 reported early Tuesday morning that both victims were shot in the head.
The victims, who weren't named in WDIV's report, were reported on the station's website as in their early 30s. Their bodies were, according to WDIV, found by their mother who lives next door.
The TV station cites unnamed homicide detectives who believe the siblings could have been killed early Monday morning.WDIV's report mentions that the sister's car was taken from the home where she was found, but was located down the street.
